Our commitment
The Coastlands Community Outreach Centre is committed to the safety and wellbeing of everyone who comes through our doors, especially children, young people and adults who may be at risk. We follow the safeguarding policy of Coastlands Church.
- Our staff and volunteers are carefully recruited, and DBS-checked where appropriate.
- Our team receive safeguarding training and know what to do if they are worried about someone.
- We listen to and take seriously anyone who raises a concern.
- We work with the relevant authorities when someone is at risk of harm.
Confidentiality
What you share with us is kept confidential. The only exception is if we believe you or someone else is at risk of serious harm. Then we may need to share information with the right people to keep everyone safe. Wherever possible, we'll talk to you about it first.
